ABOUT
Andrej Bako is a sound designer and sound recordist / production sound mixer working for broadcast and cinema presentation. He has worked for BBC, Channel 4, Discovery Channel, PBS, Comedy Central, Sony, BMG, Decca and production companies such as Somethin’ Else, Lion TV, Serious Pictures, 2am. His feature film work has been heard in most major film festivals including SxSW, BFI London Film Festival, NYC Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Raindance, Sheffield Doc Fest and BAFTA.
Andrej’s professional experience in audio started in the music industry in the early noughties when he worked with Kylie, Girls Aloud and Natalie Umbruglia whilst working in the studio with Pascal Gabriel. A stint of live engineering saw him working with Portico Quartet, Roger Eno and The Necks. He was also performing both his own improvised electronic music and in bands such as with Massive Attack’s singer Nicolette.
Andrej often takes on projects from conception to delivery, from production sound recording through to sound design and final broadcast delivery. He is creative, resourceful, dependable and flexible.
